> First hours in the Transatlantic Race 2011 and the conditions are perfect. We would call it "Kaiserwetter". The sun is shining, flat water, kite up and boat speeds around 15knots. VARUNA is on the way to Europe.
> After the start and the rounding of the first and only real mark in the race we hoisted the kite while everybody else was under Jib. We were going with high speeds over 15knots in around 25 knots of breeze.
> The boys had their first freeze dried meal and the shift system started. The fleet is already spreaded around the rhumbline with JAZZ and ZARRAFFA in front . MALTESE FALCON passed us an hour ago. Around there is PAHEDO and slightly behind us our sistership SHAKTI. Everybody else is already out of our vision and behind.
> The boat and the crew love this conditions and the good news is, they will hold on the next days. The next thing to happen is the passage of Nantucket Island.
